David Connell, the eldest son of Mike and Joy, has faithfully carried forward the family’s spiritual legacy as the leader of Ascende Global Church, formerly known as Bay City Outreach Centre. Under his leadership, the church has continued to grow. David’s vision extends beyond local borders; he travels to numerous countries, sharing the gospel and strengthening global partnerships. He is a devoted father to his three daughters, building the same legacy of faith  while continuing to impact lives internationally.

Kate Connell, wife of David Connell and co-senior pastor of Ascende Global Church, partners  with her husband to lead and build the  kingdom of God both locally and globally. A fiery, faith-filled preacher who ministers with bold authority, Kate passionately trains and ministers deliverance, bringing freedom and breakthrough to many. She also heads the church’s powerful worship team, fostering the presence of God for authentic encounters and powerful praise. As a dedicated mother to their three daughters, Kate  balances family life, while her leadership and oversight ensures the church runs smoothly with impact. 

Jo Donnelly, the dedicated personal assistant to Apostle Mike Connell and his beloved daughter, plays an indispensable role in supporting his extensive itinerant ministry. She meticulously handles all his travel arrangements, manages correspondence with inviting churches and leaders worldwide, and attentively cares for his needs while on the road—ensuring every detail runs smoothly so he can focus on preaching and ministering. As his daughter, Jo brings a genuine, heartfelt care and familial love to her service, combined with a sharp, discerning approach when dealing with people and logistics. She serves as his trusted go-to for all itinerary and ministry-related needs, helping sustain the momentum of Mike's global outreach with efficiency, wisdom, and commitment.
